Building on a strong motor skill foundation, children learn basic gymnastics on all events in addition to weekly obstacle courses, trampoline time and basic tumbling skills. The main goal of the program is to build your child’s confidence in their first ‘all-by-myself’ class, empowering them to try new things in a safe, loving environment.

Recreational
K-12th Grades
GRADES K-8
This beginning level class for boys and girls teaches all Olympic events plus trampoline and basic tumbling. The program focuses on basic gymnastics, flexibility, strength, and body control. Each week offers a new and exciting challenge in a fun and organized setting with multiple stations and our engaging coaching staff. Over the course of the semester, your star will build confidence, strength, and follow purposeful progressions as they are introduced to the fundamentals of gymnastics. Comparable to USAG Level 1.
GRADES 1-8
Silver Stars are the second skill level of our recreational gymnastics program. Building upon the well-rounded foundation of the Stars program, the Silver Stars advance to higher level skills on each of the Olympic elements while still doing so in a stress free, fun, and non-competitive environment. Proper progressions are paramount to a child’s safety, and a child will be required to demonstrate proficiency in all areas of gymnastics before advancing to the Gold Stars level. The Silver Stars program offers this well rounded, safe, fun, and intermediate gymnastics course for children to feel welcome, yet challenged to set goals and achieve them. Comparable to USAG Level 2. (AKA Silver Stars)
GRADES 1-12
The Gold Star Program moves our athletes into more advanced tumbling and olympic apparatus work, as well as introducing them to a strong focus on Dance and Ballet terminology, technique and fundamentals. It is also the first level of courses at Birons which requires athletes to be simultaneously enrolled in another class, combining for two days a week of practice. This give the students a diverse curriculum to keep them engaged, a strong, wide foundation of skills, and the multi-evening practice schedule required to succeed at this level. Comparable to USAG Levels 3.
Competitive
5-18 years
GRADES 1-12 (MUST HAVE COMPLETED SILVER STARS LEVEL)
Our first competitive focused class offered to our students, this class is only open to female athletes who have advanced past the Silver Stars program. Competing as part of the Texas Amateur Athletic Conference (TAAF), USAG XCEL, and USAG All Around levels 2-8, gymnasts will learn compulsory routines on vault, bars, beam and floor. Note: additional costs are required for team leotards, merchandise, coaches fees and competition travel.
GRADES 1-12
Power Team Gym is a competitive version of Group gymnastics where the whole team of athletes perform together in three events at their respective levels – Group Floor Exercise, Group Mini Tramp, and Group Vaulting. It is a high pace, energetic and fun program that allows athletes who wish to advance their skills but only on the floor, mini tramp, and vault without the all-around focus of TAAF a way to do so.
GRADES 1-12
Trampoline and Tumbling, or T&T for short, is a fast paced exciting sport which involves learning routines on three events: olympic trampoline, tumbling and double mini-trampoline. Each gymnast competes at his/her ability level on each event, and it allows gymnasts to focus on only the apparatuses they have most interest in instead of the all around elements of TAAF.
